The Study

The number of disasters is rising steadily and any emergency needs people who can handle such situations. These people should keep a cool head and be able to instruct fellow employees fast and secure. These are nowadays the essential characteristics of leaders during an disaster and the training objectives of the Rescue-Engineer-Students.

Modules of the curriculum are:

  1. Mathematics and Scientific Principles
  2. Human Sciences
  3. Technical Principles and Applications
  4. Disaster Defence
  5. Leadership and Management
  6. Elective
  7. Internship and Thesis


The courses of the modules are spread across the various years of study. The first academic year is dedicated to the basic knowledge of engineering. The second and the third academic year are full with courses dealing about emergencys. The elective subjects can be chosen between the environment and health, disaster management and leadership and communication. It is also possible to do an study project. The course of study finish with an internship and the bachelor thesis.
